Democracy Index Profile of Nusa Tenggara Barat Province 2022

The high commitment of the government in building democracy and Indonesian politics must be supported by empirical data that can be used as a basis for policy making and formulation of specific and accurate strategies. The Indonesian Democracy Index (IDI) is compiled to meet these needs.The 2022 NTB Provincial Indonesian Democracy Index (IDI) has a different calculation concept compared to the previous IDI calculation. The unaccommodated economic and social dimensions in democracy are one of the drivers of method revision. The theory of democracy that develops today sees democracy in a broader perspective, where aspects include politics, economics, and social.The publication of the 2022 West Nusa Tenggara Provincial Democracy Index Profile illustrates a portrait of democracy in NTB and the development of every aspect and indicator that occurs in NTB which has been calculated using a new method. This publication is expected to be useful for many parties, both for planning, monitoring and evaluation materials for development programs implemented, especially democracy development in NTB.
