Democracy Index Profile of Nusa Tenggara Barat Province 2018

The high commitment of the government in developing Indonesia's democracy and politics must be supported by empirical data which can be used as a basis for making policies and formulating specific and accurate strategies. The Indonesian Democracy Index (IDI) was compiled to meet these needs.IDI is a composite index that measures democratic behavior from four elements, namely the executive, legislative, judiciary and the wider community, so that the high and low values ​​of the IDI of an area is the responsibility of all parties. IDI is formed from three main aspects, namely the Aspect of Civil Liberties, the Aspects of Political Rights, and the Aspects of Democratic Institutions.The publication of the 2018 West Nusa Tenggara Province Democracy Index Profile illustrates the portrait of democracy in NTB and the development of every aspect, variable, and indicator that occurred in NTB. This publication is expected to be useful for many parties, both for planning, monitoring and evaluation materials for development programs carried out specifically in the development of democracy in NTB.
