Democracy Index Profile of Nusa Tenggara Barat Province 2019

The government's commitment to building democracy and Indonesian politics must be supported by empirical data that can serve as the basis for specific and accurate policies and strategies. The Indonesian Democracy Index (IDI) was compiled to meet this need. The IDI is a composite index that measures democratic behavior from four elements, namely the executive, legislative, judiciary and the wider community, so that the low IDI value of an area is the responsibility of all parties. IDI is formed from three main aspects, namely aspects of civil liberties, aspects of political rights, and aspects of democratic institutions. The publication of the 2019 West Nusa Tenggara Provincial Democracy Index Profile describes a portrait of democracy in NTB and the development of every aspect, variable and indicator that occurs in NTB. It is hoped that this publication will be of use to many parties, both as materials for planning, monitoring, and for development evaluation programs implemented in democratic development in NTB.
