Abstract

·    In September 2019, Nusa Tenggara Barat experienced deflation about 0,38 percent, in other words Consumer Price Index (CPI) decreased from 135,59 in August 2019 to 135,07 in September 2019. The national level also experienced deflation about 0,27 percent.

·     Looking at the regional level, both Mataram and Bima city experienced deflation which were 0,44 percent and 0,16 percent, respectively.

·     Deflation was due to decreasing price index of the following expenditure groups: foodstuff about 2,25 percent. Meanwhile increasing price index occurred in others expenditure groups which were clothing about 0,60 percent; housing, water, electricity and fuel about 0,22 percent; prepared food, beverages, cigarette and tobacco about 0,17 percent; education, recreation and sport about 0,10 percent; transport, communication and financial services about 0,00 percent and  health about 0,00 percent.

·   Inflation rate of Nusa Tenggara Barat in September 2019, based on calendar year, was about 0,81 percent. It was lower compared to September 2018 which was around 1,78 percent. Meanwhile, inflation rate of year on year in September 2019 documented at 2,17 percent which was also lower than the inflation rate of year on year in September 2018 that was about 3,09 percent.
