Abstract
In March 2020, Nusa Tenggara Barat
experienced deflation about 0,21 percent, in other words Consumer Price Index
(CPI) increased from 103,67 in February 2020 to 103,45 in March 2020. The
national level also experienced deflation about 0,10 percent.
Looking at the regional level, both
Mataram and Bima city experienced deflation which were 0,30 percent and 0,09
percent, respectively.
Deflation was due to decreasing price
index of the following expenditure groups: food, beverages and tobbaco about
-0,53 percent; clothing and footwear about -0,04; housing, water, electricity,
and household fule about 0,02 percent; and transportation about 1,27 percent.
Meanwhile, the price index of the other expenditure group was increasing.
Inflation rate of Nusa Tenggara Barat
in March 2020, based on calendar year, was about 0,28 percent. It was higher
compared to March 2019 which was around 0,04 percent. Meanwhile, inflation rate
of year on year in March 2020 documented at 1,63 percent which was lower than
the inflation rate of year on year in March 2019 that was about 2,44 percent.
