Abstract
The
calculation of farmer terms of trade (FTT) was based on the base year
2012=100. In May 2019, the value of
farmer terms of trade by sub sector as follows: food crops about 113,77,
horticulture about 80,93; smallholders estate crops about 93,37; animal
husbandry about 126,49; and fishery about 108,97. Farmer terms of trade of
fishery can be distinguished into two types which are capture fishery and
aquaculture fishery about 118,45 and 93,71, respectively. All in all, farmer
terms of trade in May 2019 documented at 109,26, decreased about 0,09 percent
compared to its value in the previous month which was about 109,36 percent.
Agricultural
terms of trade in May 2019 around 117,55 percent, increased by 0,28 percent
compared to last month that was around 117,23 percent. Majority of agricultural
terms of trade reached the value above 100 except for horticulture which only
amounted of 89,88 percent. The agricultural terms of trade of other sub sectors
were: animal husbandry (137,75); food crops (119,66); fishery (119,66); and
smallholders estate crops (102,79).
Of 33
province, 17 provinces experienced an increase in the value of its farmer terms
of trade meanwhile the rest experienced otherwise. The highest increase
occurred in Yogyakarta of 2,01 percent, while the highest decrease occurred in Aceh
of -2,10 percent.
In
May 2019, Nusa Tenggara Barat experienced rural inflation about 0,72 percent.
This was due to increasing value of Household Consumption Indices (IKRT) of the
following expenditure groups: foodstuff about 1,21 percent; clothing about 0,99
percent; prepared food, beverages and tobacco about 0,41 percent; transportation
and communication about 0,21 percent; housing about 0,14 percent; health about
0,04 percent;; and education, recreation and sport about 0,02 percent.
