NTB, June 2018: FER Increased by 0.68 Percent

The calculation of farmer terms of trade (FTT) was based on the base year 2012=100.  In June 2018, the value of farmer terms of trade by sub sector as follows: food crops about 108,83, horticulture about 81,82; smallholders estate crops about 93,69; animal husbandry about 127,16; and fishery about 107,69. Farmer terms of trade of fishery can be distinguished into two types which are capture fishery and aquaculture fishery about 116,70 and 93,12, respectively. Therefore, farmer terms of trade of NTB was documented at 107,41, increased about 0,68 percent compared to its value in May 2018 which was about 106,69 percent.

 

Agricultural terms of trade in June 2018 was around 116,69, increased by 0,80 percent compared to May 2018 that was around 115,77 percent. Majority of agricultural terms of trade reached the value above 100 except for horticulture which only amounted of 92,26. The agricultural terms of trade of other sub sectors were animal husbandry (141,01); food  crops (114,00); fishery (117,52), and smallholders estate crops (105,66).

 

Of 33 province, 20 province experienced an increase meanwhile 13 other experienced a decrease in the value of farmer terms of trade. The highest increase was in Maluku about 0,78 percent, while the highest decrease was in Riau about 1,87 percent.

 

In June 2018, Nusa Tenggara Barat experienced inflation at rural area about 0,24 percent. This was due to the increasing value of Household Consumption Indices (IKRT) in all subgroup.
