Abstract

The calculation of farmer terms of trade (FTT) was based on the base year 2012=100.  In June 2019, the value of farmer terms of trade by sub sector as follows: food crops about 115,68, horticulture about 81,95; smallholders estate crops about 93,47; animal husbandry about 128,83; and fishery about 109,40. Farmer terms of trade of fishery can be distinguished into two types which are capture fishery and aquaculture fishery about 119,32 and 93,40, respectively. All in all, farmer terms of trade in June 2019 documented at 110,82, increased about 1,43 percent compared to its value in the previous month which was about 109,26 percent.

Agricultural terms of trade in June 2019 was 119,35 percent, increased by 1,53 percent compared to last month that was 117,55 percent. Majority of agricultural terms of trade reached the value above 100 except for horticulture which only amounted of 91,09 percent. The agricultural terms of trade of other sub sectors were as follows: animal husbandry (140,57); food crops (121,28); fishery (120,34); and smallholders estate crops (103,01).

Of 33 province, 13 provinces experienced an increase in the value of its farmer terms of trade meanwhile the rest experienced otherwise. The highest increase occurred in Nusa Tenggara Barat of 1,43 percent, while the highest decrease occurred in Riau of -3,12 percent.

In June 2019, Nusa Tenggara Barat experienced rural inflation about 0,18 percent. This was due to increasing value of Household Consumption Indices (IKRT) of the following expenditure groups: clothing about 0,32 percent; prepared food, beverages and tobacco about 0,30 percent; health about 0,26 percent; education, recreation and sport about 0,26 percent; foodstuff about 0,15 percent; housing about 0,12 percent; transportation and communication about 0,01 percent.
