Abstract

Senior residents (elderly) are residents aged 60 years and over. Increasing the number of elderly is one of the successes of development, especially in the health sector. The socioeconomic condition of the elderly population needs to be considered so that they can enjoy the results of development equally, not differentiated from other age group residents.The publication of the Profile of the Elderly of West Nusa Tenggara Province 2022 is a publication about the elderly population published by the Central Bureau of Statistics of West Nusa Tenggara Province, aiming to present an overview of the condition of the elderly population in West Nusa Tenggara seen from various important aspects, such as demographic structure, education, employment, socio-economy, and health. With this publication, it is expected to support government policies to protect the elderly as one of the objects of development and to optimize the carrying capacity of the elderly as subjects of development
