Abstract

In November 2023, year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation of the Two Cities (Mataram City and Bima City) combined was 2.92 percent, or an increase in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) from 112.28 in November 2022 to 115.56 in November 2023. This inflation rate is higher than the national inflation rate which was recorded at 2.86 percent.

For the West Nusa Tenggara region, Mataram City experienced y-on-y inflation of 2.96 percent and Bima City experienced y-on-y inflation of 2.77 percent.

Inflation occurred due to an increase in prices indicated by an increase in the index in the Food, Beverage and Tobacco Group by 5.33 percent; Personal Care and Other Services Group at 3.36 percent; Transportation Group at 2.52 percent; Recreation, Sports and Culture Group at 2.18 percent; Food and Beverage/Restaurant Supply Group by 1.95 percent; Housing, Water, Electricity, and Household Fuel Group at 1.79 percent; Education Group by 1.51 percent; Clothing and Footwear Group by 1.07 percent; Health Group by 1.04 percent; Household Equipment, Equipment and Routine Maintenance Group amounted to 0.80 percent. Meanwhile, the decline in the index occurred in the Information, Communication and Financial Services Group by 0.41 percent.

Combined month-to-month (m–to-m) inflation in November 2023 is 0.34 percent. Meanwhile, year-to-date (y-to-d) inflation in November 2023 was 2.65 percent, lower than the year-to-date (y-to-d) inflation rate in November 2022 of 5.95 percent.
