Abstract
▪ February 2022, combined inflation of two
cities (Mataram and Bima city) was -0,07 percent, in other words, the Consumer
Price Index (CPI) decreased from 106,72 in January 2022 to 106,65 in February
2022. It was higher than deflation at the national level which was -0,02
percent.
▪ Looking at the regional level, both Mataram and Bima city experienced
deflation of -0,02 and of -0,25 percent, respectively.
▪ Inflation was due to decreasing price index of the
following expenditure groups: food, beverages, and tobacco about -0,86 percent;
transport about -0,34 percent; and information, communication, and financial
services about -0,16 percent. Meanwhile, the price index of the following
expenditure group increased: education about 1,04 percent; housing, water,
electricity, and household fuel about 0,68 percent; furnishings, household equipment,
and routine household maintenance about 0,61 percent; clothing and footwear
about 0,59 percent; recreation, sport, and culture about 0,50 percent; personal
care and other services about 0,33 percent; health about 0,04 percent; and food
and beverage serving services/restaurant about 0,00 percent.
▪ The inflation rate of combined two cities (Mataram and Bima City) in February
2022, based on the calendar year, was 0,64 percent. It was lower compared to February 2021 was 0,93 percent.
Furthermore, the year-on-year inflation rate in February 2022 was documented at
1,82 percent which was also higher than the year-on-year inflation rate in February
2021 which was 1,03 percent.
