Abstract
In January 2020, Nusa Tenggara Barat
experienced inflation about 0,55 percent, in other words Consumer Price Index
(CPI) increased from 103,71 in December 2019 to 103,71 in January 2020. The
national level also experienced inflation about 0,39 percent.
Looking at the regional level, both
Mataram and Bima city experienced inflation which were 0,57 percent and 0,49
percent, respectively.
Inflation was due to increasing price
index of the following expenditure groups: food, beverages and tobacco about 2,47
percent; clothing and footwear about 0,03 percent; equipment, tools and routine
household maintenance about 0,11 percent; health about 1,25 percent; food and
beverages services/restaurant about 0,08 percent; and personal care and other
services about 0,30 percent. Meanwhile, the price index of the other
expenditure group was decreasing.
Inflation rate of Nusa Tenggara Barat
in January 2020, based on calendar year, was about 0,55 percent. It was lower
compared to January 2019 which was around 0,51 percent. Meanwhile, inflation
rate of year on year in January 2020 documented at 1,57 percent which was also
lower than the inflation rate of year on year in January 2019 that was about 2,68
percent.
