Abstract
The
calculation of farmer terms of trade (FTT) was based on the base year
2012=100. In February 2019, the value of
farmer terms of trade by sub sector as follows: food crops about 117,09,
horticulture about 80,38; smallholders estate crops about 91,58; animal
husbandry about 126,62; and fishery about 108,02. Farmer terms of trade of
fishery can be distinguished into two types which are capture fishery and
aquaculture fishery about 116,68 and 94,08, respectively. All in all, farmer terms
of trade in February 2019 documented at 110,32, decreased about 0,42 percent
compared to its value in the previous month which was about 110,79 percent.
Agricultural
terms of trade in February 2019 was around 118,49, decreased by 1,04 percent
compared to last month that was around 119,77 percent. Majority of agricultural
terms of trade reached the value above 100 except for horticulture which only
amounted of 89,94 percent. The agricultural terms of trade of other sub sectors
were animal husbandry (137,45); food crops (122,28); fishery (118,70); and
smallholders estate crops (100,56).
Of 33
province, 15 provinces experienced an increase decrease in the value of its
farmer terms of trade meanwhile the rest experienced otherwise. The highest
increase occurred in Riau of 1,58 percent, while the highest decrease occurred
in Sulawesi Tengah of -1,47 percent.
In
February 2019, Nusa Tenggara Barat experienced rural deflation about 0,55
percent. This was due to the decreasing value of Household Consumption Indices
(IKRT) of the following expenditure groups: foodstuff about -1,31 percent and
housing about -0,03 percent.
