Abstract
The
calculation of farmer terms of trade (FTT) was based on the base year
2012=100. In October 2019, the value of
farmer terms of trade by sub sector as follows: food crops about 122,27,
horticulture about 79,75; smallholders estate crops about 94,34; animal
husbandry about 135,90; and fishery about 108,95. Farmer terms of trade of
fishery can be distinguished into two types which are capture fishery and
aquaculture fishery about 117,79 and 94,72, respectively. All in all, farmer terms
of trade in October 2019 documented at 115,27, increased about 0,20 percent
compared to its value in the previous month which was about 115,04 percent.
Agricultural
terms of trade in October 2019 was 122,36 percent, increased by 0,50 percent
compared to the last month that was 121,76 percent. Majority of agricultural
terms of trade reached the value above 100 except for horticulture which only amounted
of 88,00 percent. The agricultural terms of trade of other sub sectors were as
follows: animal husbandry (145,60); food crops (126,38); fishery (120,03); and
smallholders estate crops (102,13).
Of 33
province, 21 provinces experienced an increase in the value of its farmer terms
of trade meanwhile the rest experienced otherwise. The highest increase
occurred in Aceh of 1,22 percent, while the highest decrease occurred in
Gorontalo of -1,70 percent.
In October 2019,
Nusa Tenggara Barat experienced rural inflation about 0,50 percent. This was
due to increasing value of Household Consumption Indices (IKRT) of all
expenditure groups.
