Analysis of Current Issues in Nusa Tenggara Barat Province 2025

This publication was compiled as an effort to provide a comprehensive overview of the food security situation and socio-economic dynamics of agricultural households in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Province. This analysis follows up on the 2023 Agricultural Census (ST2023) and is a crucial component in providing up-to-date, accurate, and relevant sectoral data to various stakeholders. The agricultural sector holds a strategic position in regional development, particularly in NTB, known as an agrarian province with a significant contribution to the national food supply. However, this sector also faces increasingly complex challenges, ranging from climate change, limited infrastructure, access to capital, and land conversion issues. Through the 2024 SEP, in-depth information on agricultural businesses, household incomes, access to production inputs, and the challenges faced by farmers has been systematically compiled. This publication is expected to provide broad benefits, serving as a primary reference for policymakers, academics, and a source of public information regarding the current state of food security in NTB. The findings presented are also expected to form the basis for formulating agricultural development strategies that are more adaptive, sustainable, and oriented towards improving farmer welfare.
