Abstract

The implementation of development in Indonesia is aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) that pay attention to the continuity of generations and maintain the balance of nature. Economic development is expected to be able to provide prosperity for all Indonesian people, with an increase in Indonesia's per capita income that can be juxtaposed with an upper middle income country. In an effort to achieve the SDGs targets as well as national development goals set out in the RPJMN and Nawacita, credible and up-to-date data support is needed as a measure of development achievements.Publication of statistics on people's welfare is a manifestation of the responsibility of BPS as an institution tasked with providing basic statistical data as input in measuring SDGs and national development targets. The statistics used to display people's welfare are sourced from the results of the National Socio-Economic Survey (Susenas) which is a household-based survey. BPS organizes Susenas periodically every year in March and September. Data presented in this publication are the results of Susenas conducted in West Nusa Tenggara Province in March 2019 of 6,320 sample households.
Susenas collects data on population, education, health, fertility and family planning, housing, information and communication technology, crime, travel activities, and social protection. The data is presented at the national and provincial level so as to enable comparability between regions. This publication is expected to meet the needs for socio-economic data both for development planning and evaluation.
