Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) is the comparison of the price index received by farmers (lt) to the price index paid by farmers (lb). NTP is an indicator to see the level of purchasing power of farmers in rural areas.
NTP also shows the terms of trade of agricultural products with goods and services consumed as well as for production costs.
NTP in December 2020 was 109.22 or decreased (0.04) points compared to the previous month's NTP. The decrease in NTP was due to the increase in the Price Index Paid by Farmers (lb) by 0.68 percent, which is greater than the increase in the Price Index Received by Farmers (lt) of 0.64 percent.
Most of the NTP values were above 100, except for the smallholder crop subsector, which was 92.59. NTP of other sub-sectors respectively as follows: Food Crops 111.51; Horticulture 110.99; Livestock 107.33 and fisheries subsector 107.61.
In December 2020, there was inflation in rural areas in West Nusa Tenggara Province of 0.90 percent. Inflation was caused by an increase in the Household Consumption Index (IKRT) in several groups, namely the Food, Beverage and Tobacco group; Household Equipment, Equipment and Routine Maintenance; Clothing and Footwear; Housing, Water, Electricity and Household Fuels; Transportation; Recreation, Sports, and Culture as well as Food and Beverage / Restaurant Providers.
The Agricultural Business Exchange Rate (NTUP) in December 2020 was 109.54, an increase of 0.36 percent compared to November 2020 of 109.14. Most of the NTUP values were above 100, except for the smallholder crop subsector, which was 92.17. NTUP other sub-sectors respectively as follows: Food Crops 112.36; Horticulture 110.44; Animal Husbandry 106.44; and Fisheries 109.76.
