Abstract

The rice harvest area in 2020 is estimated at 272.19 thousand hectares, a decrease of 9.47 thousand hectares or 3.36 percent compared to 2019 which amounted to 281.67 thousand hectares.

Rice production in 2020 is estimated at 1.31 million tons of GKG, a decrease of 92.42 thousand tons or 6.59 percent compared to 2019 which amounted to 1.40 million tons of GKG.

If the potential for rice production in 2020 is converted into rice for food consumption for the population, rice production in 2020 is estimated at 742.13 thousand tons, a decrease of 52.37 thousand tons or 6.59 percent compared to 2019 which amounted to 794.5 thousand tons.
