Abstract
·
In September 2020, Nusa Tenggara Barat
experienced deflation of -0,04 percent, in other words, the Consumer Price
Index (CPI) decreased from 103,15 in August 2020 to 103,11 in September 2020. Furthermore,
the national level also experienced deflation of -0,05 percent.

Looking at the regional level, both Mataram and
Bima city experienced deflation, which was 0,04 percent and 0,02 percent,
respectively.

Inflation was due to decreasing price index of
the following expenditure groups: information, communication and financial
services about -0,83 percent; leisure, sport and culture about -0,20 percent;
and food, beverages and tobacco about -0,15 percent. Meanwhile, the price index
of the following expenditure groups increased: transportation about 0,37
percent; equipment, tools and routine household maintenance about 0,21 percent;
health about 0,06 percent; personal care and other services about 0,03 percent;
clothing and footwear about 0,01 percent; housing, water, electricity, and
household fuel about 0,00 percent; education about 0,00 percent; and food and
beverages services/restaurant about 0,00 percent.
