The Combined Two Cities (Mataram City and Bima City) inflation in July 2020 was 0.17 percent

·       In July 2020, Nusa Tenggara Barat experienced inflation of 0,17 percent, in other words, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) increased from 103,03 in June 2020 to 103,20 in July 2020. Meanwhile, the national level experienced deflation of -0,10 percent.

·       Looking at the regional level, both Mataram and Bima city experienced inflation, which was 0,09 percent and 0,43 percent, respectively.

·       Inflation was due to increasing price index of the following expenditure groups: clothing and footwear about 0,15 percent; equipment, tools and routine household maintenance about 0,02 percent; health about 0,07 percent; transportation about 1,24 percent; information, communication and financial services about 0,00 percent; education about 0,18 percent; food and beverages services/restaurant about 0,05 percent; personal care and other services about 1,30 percent. Meanwhile, the price index of the following expenditure groups decreased: food, beverages and tobacco about -0,23 percent; housing, water, electricity, and household fuel about -0,01 percent; and leisure, sport and culture about -0,05 percent.

The inflation rate of Nusa Tenggara Barat in July 2020, based on the calendar year, was 0,05 percent. It was lower compared to July 2019 which was 1,59 percent. Furthermore, the year-on-year inflation rate in July 2020 was documented at -0,06 percent which was lower than the year-on-year inflation rate in July 2019 which was 2,59 percent.
