NTB, Juny 2020: Consumer Price Index Recorded Up by 0.07 Percent

·       In June 2020, Nusa Tenggara Barat experienced inflation of 0,07 percent, in other words, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) increased from 102,96 in May 2020 to 103,03 in June 2020. Futhermore, the national level also experienced inflation of 0,18 percent.

·       Looking at the regional level, both Mataram and Bima city experienced inflation, which was 0,15 percent and 0,22 percent, respectively.

·       Inflation was due to increasing price index of the following expenditure groups: food, beverages and tobacco about 0,07 percent; clothing and footwear about 0,06 percent; equipment, tools and routine household maintenance about 0,17 percent; health about 0,04 percent ; transportation about 0,55 percent; : information, communication and financial services about 0,00 percent; leisure, sport and culture about 0,03 percent; education about 0,00 percent; and food and beverages services/restaurant about 0,00 percent. Meanwhile, the price index of the following expenditure groups decreased: housing, water, electricity, and household fuel about -0,01 percent and personal care and other services about -0,48 percent.

The inflation rate of Nusa Tenggara Barat in June 2020, based on the calendar year, was -0,12 percent. It was lower compared to June 2019 which was 1,72 percent. Furthermore, the year on year inflation rate in June 2020 was documented at -0,17 percent which was lower than the year on year inflation rate in June 2019 which was 3,39 percent.
