Abstract

  • The calculation of Farmers Exchange Rate uses base year 2012 = 100 where in September 2019 there was a recorded Farmer Farmer Exchange Rate (NTPP) of 120.98 percent; Horticultural Farmers Exchange Rate (NTPH) 80.47 percent; Exchange Rate of Smallholder Plantation Farmers (NTPR) 95.03 percent; Farmer Farmer Exchange Rate (NTPT) 136.24 percent and Fisheries Farmer Exchange Rate (NTNP) 109.70 percent. The Farmers' Fisheries Exchange Rate (NTNP) is broken down into NTP Capture Fisheries (NTN) recorded 119.34 percent and NTP Aquaculture (NTPi) recorded 94.17 percent. Taken together, the NTB Provincial Farmer Exchange Rate is 115.04 percent, which means that the FTT in September 2019 has increased 1.45 percent when compared to August 2019 with the Farmer Exchange Rate of 113.40 percent.
  • The Agricultural Business Exchange Rate (NTUP) in September 2019 was 121.76 percent or rose 0.81 percent compared to August 2019 which was 120.79 percent. Most NTUPs are valued above 100 except for the horticulture subsector, which is only 88.53 percent. NTUP other sub-sectors respectively as follows: Animal Husbandry 145.80 percent; Food Crops 124.61 percent; Fisheries 120.14 percent; and Smallholder Plantation Plants 102.51 percent.
  • Of the 33 provinces reported in September 2019, there were 23 provinces that experienced an increase in FTT and 10 provinces experienced a decrease in FTT. The highest increase occurred in Jambi Province which was 2.27 percent, while the highest decrease in FTT occurred in North Maluku Province which was (1.56) percent.
  • In September 2019, deflation occurred in rural areas in West Nusa Tenggara Province by 0.70 percent. Deflation was caused by a decrease in the Household Consumption Index (IKRT) in the foodstuffs group by (1.64) percent.
