Abstract
In January 2019, Nusa Tenggara Barat experienced inflation about 0,51 percent, in other words Consumer Price Index (CPI) increased from 133,99 in December 2018 to 134,67 in January 2019. The national level also experienced inflation about 0,32 percent.
Looking at the regional level, both Mataram and Bima city experienced inflation which were 0,44 percent and 0,76 percent, respectively.
Inflation was due to increasing price index of the following expenditure groups: foodstuff about 1,47 percent; health about 0,57 percent; transport, communication and financial services about 0,45 percent; clothing about 0,32 percent; prepared food, beverages, cigarette and tobacco about 0,28 percent; education, recreation and sport about 0,04 percent; and housing, water, electricity and fuel about 0,02 percent.
Inflation rate of Nusa Tenggara Barat in January 2019, based on calendar year, was about 0,51 percent. It was higher compared to January 2018 which was around 0,47 percent. Meanwhile, inflation rate of year on year in January 2019 documented at 3,20 percent which was higher than the inflation rate of year on year in January 2018 that was about 2,65 percent.
