Abstract
The calculation of farmer terms of trade (FTT) was based on the base year 2012=100. In September 2018, the value of farmer terms of trade by sub sector as follows: food crops about 113,46, horticulture about 79,16; smallholders estate crops about 95,58; animal husbandry about 128,36; and fishery about 110,84. Farmer terms of trade of fishery can be distinguished into two types which are capture fishery and aquaculture fishery about 120,73 and 94,84, respectively. All in all, farmer terms of trade of NTB was documented at 109,76, increased about 0,70 percent compared to its value in August 2018 which was about 108,99 percent. Agricultural terms of trade in September 2018 was around 118,31, increased by 0,25 percent compared to August 2018 that was around 118,01 percent. Majority of agricultural terms of trade reached the value above 100 except for horticulture which only amounted of 88,57 percent. The agricultural terms of trade of other sub sectors were animal husbandry (140,93); fishery (120,45); food crops (118,32); and smallholders estate crops (106,23). Of 33 province, 23 provinces experienced an increase meanwhile 10 others experienced a decrease in the value of its farmer terms of trade. The highest increase occured in Jambi of 1,68 percent, while the highest decrease occurred in Bangka Belitung of -1,18 percent. In September 2018, Nusa Tenggara Barat experienced rural deflation about -0,19 percent. This was due to the decreasing value of Household Consumption Indices (IKRT) of the following expenditure group: foodstuff about 0,63 percent; and education, recreation and sport about 0,01 percent.
