In July 2018, Nusa Tenggara Barat experienced inflation about 0,64
percent, in other words Consumer Price Index (CPI) increased from
131,84 in June 2018 to 132,69 in July 2018. It was above the national
level which also experienced inflation about 0,28 percent.
Looking at the regional level, both Mataram and Bima city
experienced inflation which were 0,60 percent and 0,81 percent,
respectively.
Inflation was due to increasing price index of the following
expenditure groups: foodstuff about 1,62 percent; clothing about
0,59 percent; health about 0,55 percent; prepared food, beverages,
cigarette and tobacco about 0,46 percent; transport,
communication and financial services about 0,43 percent; education,
recreation and sport about 0,34 percent; housing, water, electricity
and fuel about 0,21 percent.
Inflation rate of Nusa Tenggara Barat in July 2018, based on calendar
year, was around 2,16 percent. It was lower than July 2017 which
was about 2,60 percent. Meanwhile, inflation rate of year on year in
July 2018 documented at 3,25 percent, higher than the inflation rate
of year on year in July 2017 that was about 2,70 percent.
