NTB, June 2018: The CPI Increased by 0.76 percent

In June 2018, Nusa Tenggara Barat experienced inflation about 0,76 percent, in other words Consumer Price Index (CPI) increased from 130,84 in May 2018 to 131,84 in June 2018. It was higher than national inflation which documented about 0,59 percent.

 

Looking at the regional level, both Mataram and Bima city experienced inflation which were 0,75 percent and 0,77 percent, respectively.

 

Inflation was due to increase of price index of the following expenditure groups: foodstuff about 1,69 percent; transport, communication and financial services about 1,43 percent; clothing about 0,92 percent;  prepared food, beverages, cigarette and tobacco about 0,78 percent; education, recreation and sport about 0,16 percent; and health about 0,14 percent. While decrease of  price index occurred in housing, water, electricity and fuel about 0,1 percent.

 

Inflation rate of Nusa Tenggara Barat in June 2018, based on calendar year, was around 1,51 percent. It was lower than the previous year (June 2017) which was around 2,19 percent. Furthermore, inflation rate of year on year in June 2018 documented at 3,02 percent which was lower than the inflation rate of year on year in June 2017 that was about 3,38 percent.
