Abstract

·         In April 2018, Nusa Tenggara Barat experienced inflation about 0,37 percent, in other words Consumer Price Index (CPI) rose from 130,73 in March 2018 to 131,21 in April 2018. The rate was above the national level that recorded inflation at 0,10 percent.

·         Looking at regional level, both Mataram and Bima city experienced inflation that were 0,25 percent and 0,80 percent, respectively.

·         Inflation was due to increasing price index of the following expenditure groups: transport, communication and financial services about 0,93 percent; health about 0,71 percent; foodstuff about 0,47 percent; prepared food, beverages, cigarette and tobacco about 0,2 percent; clothing about 0,2 percent; housing, water, electricity and fuel about 0,15; and education, recreation and sport about 0,02 percent.

·         Inflation rate of Nusa Tenggara Barat, based on calendar year, in April 2018 was about 1,02 percent, lower than inflation rate of April 2017 which was about 1,07 percent. Furthermore, inflation rate of year on year in April 2018 documented at 3,65 percent which was higher than the inflation rate of year on year in April 2017 that was about 3,05 percent.
